8 Gestures That Will Instantly Make Your Partner Feel Appreciated.

She’ll always appreciate jewelry and flowers. But she’ll love the little things—like snacks and backrubs—even more, especially if she isn’t expecting them. Here are nine simple gestures that will make your partner feel the love.

1. Have Breakfast Ready
Breakfast in bed sounds good in theory, but in reality, you’re just awkwardly eating eggs amidst tangled sheets and piles of laundry. Instead, set breakfast out at the kitchen table for your lady on a weekday morning. What could be better than waking up on a Monday and not having to pour your own cereal?

2. Make a List For the Week
Some weeks are just harder than others. If you know your partner has a challenging week ahead of her, write her a list of seven things you love about her. One for each day.

3. Take Care Of Her Chores
Does she need new windshield wipers? Does that annoying hinge on the bedroom door always squeak? It only takes a few moments to tend to these things, and they’re gifts that keep on giving.

4. Give Her Extra Encouragement
If she has a big presentation coming up, set a calendar reminder for 30 minutes before the big event. That way, you can drop her a note and assure her she’s going to ace it.

5. Leave a Lasting Voicemail
Send her a text letting her know you’re about to call—and ask her not to pick up. Then, leave her a loving—or perhaps filthy—voicemail. (Here’s The Best Way to Talk Dirty to Her.) You know, something she can listen to again and again.

6. Make a Modern-Day Mix Tape
Don’t underestimate the power of a playlist. They don’t always have to be sappy, either. Make a killer mix of the best album full of remixes of a song she loves. Everyone needs something good to listen to on the commute home.

7. Ditch Your Phone
There’s no way your phone is more interesting than her face. So take it off the table when you’re sharing a meal.Nothing boosts loving feelings like some good, old-fashioned eye contact.

8. Keep a List
Sometimes it’s hard to come up with a romantic idea on the fly. So keep a running list on your phone of great ideas and gifts. Listen to what your partner says and take note. She’ll often tell you how she wants to be loved.
