The gunman who has now been identified as 29 year old Omar Mateen killed 50 people and left 20 more injured. Omar Mateen’s father said his son’s attack was likely caused by a ‘disgust’ of gay people after he had seen two men kissing just outside the club.
However, in an unprecedented twist, Omar Mateen’s ex wife Sitora Yusufiy has now made startling revelations which are bound to change the perception of the shooter.
Sitora Yusufiy who was married to Omar for three months in 2009 said on Brazilian TV that she strongly believed he had ‘gay tendencies’ and said his father had once called him gay in her presence.
Another man who claims to have been asked put by Omar has also said that he even frequented Pulse nightclub a few clubs and has now put Omar’s motive in doubt.
